Our Philosophy
At Proper Candles, we believe that lighting a candle is more than just filling your home with a pleasant aroma. It's using clean and quality ingredients that can put your mind at ease when using our candles.
Our Scents
Our candles are made using a variety of high-quality, carefully selected ingredients to create unique and captivating scents. Our wax is a simple blend of soy and coconut. Proper Candles never uses any of the harmful ingredients below:

•No Lead or Zinc

Proper Candle Care
Keeping the Wick Trimmed
Before lighting your candle each time, make sure to trim the wick to 1/4". This will allow your candle to last longer!
First Burn of Your Candle
During the first burn, allow your candle to burn for 2-3 hours, so the wax melts close to the edges and your candle will last longer overall.
Reusable Container
Once your candle is completely burned to the last 1/4" of the wick, let cool. To reuse the container, simply boil a pot of water, then pour into candle vessel, and let sit until cool. Once cooled, remove the "wax puck" and metal wick holder. Clean glass vessel with soapy warm water. Now reuse!

About Proper Candles
Our Story
Joe and Katie have always enjoyed burning candles! It makes a home feel cozy and relaxing. But we didn't like not knowing what was truly in the candles we were burning, especially around our young kids. We decided to start creating and hand pouring our own candles, so we knew exactly what was going into them. And that's how Proper Candles was born! We hand pour each candle in Marietta, GA.
